Afternoon snack in the clubhouse
I take pictures of my kids every day. Some days more than others. But, truth be told, I’m way behind on printing photos or photo books. Like a whole year behind!
As a mom, I have a very common complaint. I’m not in any pictures with my kids.
Do selfies even count? I feel like they don’t, because they’re not really capturing the whole moment. Just a super close-up version.
I’ve been making a conscious effort when it comes to taking photos because when I look back at year’s past, I’m only in a couple. And it’s mostly holidays or the births of my three babies.

A couple of weeks ago, my family and I walked to the beach at the end of our street to hang out. While I’m typically in control of the camera, I put my husband in charge instead because I was carrying the baby and walking the dog at the same time.
On our adventure, my husband grabbed some great shots of the kids and I. Many of which I didn’t even know he took!
One picture that I love was a group shot of my three kids, dog and I. All of us were doing our own thing and it really captured that sweet moment in time.
This is the first photo of my kids and I that is on display in our house. A milestone for sure!

My great grandmother photo that I recently found in our attic.
