Recipe Roundup: The power of pumpkin

October 4, 2013 By Courtney

I just read that U.S. sales of pumpkin-flavored foods are booming and that people are seeing it incorporated more into breakfast foods, beverages and desserts.

Well, I am definitely a pumpkin-lover and have tried my hand at many-a-recipe. I thought I’d do a round-up of what I’ve cooked up and share it with all my friends so we can continue this flavor frenzy!

Pumpkin hummus

This pumpkin hummus does not have an overwhelming pumpkin flavor and isn’t sweet like you’d think. Give it a whirl if you’re looking to try a new recipe and love all things pumpkin.

For your dog: Pup’kin dog biscuits!

These seasonal biscuits will not only taste as sweet as candy to your furkid, but the natural health benefits of pumpkin will help soothe (and trim!) his tummy.

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread

This is absolutely my favorite pumpkin bread recipe. The bread is moist and delicious and is perfect for dessert or breakfast.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

I love anything with pumpkin so I decided to get creative and put a new twist on my chocolate chip cookie recipe.

The Pioneer Woman’s Pumpkin Soup (ridiculously delicious!)

Anyone who knows me, knows I’m a HUGE soup fan! I’ve even been known to make it in the summer. My favorite blogger, The Pioneer Woman, has a wonderful pumpkin soup recipe that is super easy and super tasty. You won’t be disappointed!

Happy fall, friends! I hope you enjoy the weekend picking pumpkins and making something yummy with them. Strike that, I often use canned pumpkin, so we can prob spare the gourds! 🙂
