Pampers were the first diaper to ever grace both my son and daughter’s bums while in the hospital.
At the time my first was born, I really hadn’t given diapers much thought. Now, it’s on my priority list! My, how times have changed…
My son is now 9 months old, and while I’m not changing as many diapers as I was when he was a newborn, it’s still important that I have an absorbent one because I don’t want a wet diaper waking my sleeping baby. And let’s face it, up until a few weeks ago, a wet diaper was the cause of all of the middle of the night wake up calls.
I’m not the only one who feels that strongly about diapers.
Pampers recently interviewed more than 9,000 moms about what was important for their baby, Pampers found the number one unmet need is a diaper that provides superior overnight dryness.
Pampers incorporated this firsthand insight, as well as the brand’s deep understanding of baby and baby’s needs, to design a diaper that both mom and baby can count on for up to 12 hours of overnight protection.
In celebration of this new diaper, Pampers gave me the opportunity to give back the gift of sleep to a baby or family in my community. This was such a fun mission because it was a secret and I got to surprise a family in need of a few winks!
Try to follow this story….it’s very “small town”, so stay with me!
A friend of mine from high school, who I hadn’t seen in a few years, just had a baby….and I heard from my cousin’s wife, who happens to be this woman’s cousin, that her newborn has only slept a few nights through the night, so I figured…of course she would make a great recipient for my special gift!
Her name is Natasha and her baby’s name is Sofia. I couldn’t wait to catch up with them and share all of my favorite sleep products. Everything I chose for their gift was tried and true and a current favorite in my house.
Thanks to Pampers I was able to go on a shopping spree and help this new mom and baby get back to sleep.
Natasha was so surprised and thankful. (Check out some photos I captured below!) It made my day to help another mom and offer tips and products that have worked for me. I truly have a passion for this stuff. It’s what I live and breathe!
Here’s what I included in the gift:
- Halo Sleepsack Swaddle (to help keep baby snug as a bug, safely)
- Aveeno Calming Comfort Lotion (good for relaxing baby just before bed)
- The HoMedics SoundSpa Lullaby (to help lull baby to sleep when all else fails)
- RaZbaby Raz-Berry teether (for nights baby needs to chomp on something)
- $30.00 gift certificate to Tomaselli Brothers (a great local restaurant who delivers! It’ll give mom and dad a night off from cooking.)
- 1 pound of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee (to help those sleepless nights a little easier the next morning)
I can’t wait to check in with Natasha to see how she and her family are doing and if they’re getting anymore sleep.
If you or anyone you know could use a night of rest. I have a giveaway you might be interested in!
