Get back-to-school cool with fun products

August 19, 2013 By Courtney

Disclosure: For the purpose of writing this blog post Target sent me some supplies to check out. I was not paid and all comments are mine and were not influenced in any way.

From pencils to planners, there is so much to consider when planning out your back-to-school shopping. But, what about mixing in some fun supplies that will get the kids super excited for the new year?

Target has some great new gear that you’ll want to check out! They were kind enough to send me some samples to share with my readers.

Basics:

· BYO® by Built® Lunch Sacks in Assorted Patterns, $9.99- The zipper function on these reusable bags can’t be beat. Lunches are sure to stay in tact, while having plenty of room for snacks, ice packs and a drink.

· Rubbermaid Refreezable Ice Packs (sports themed), $2.99 each– Lunch can be fun with these ice packs. Compact and colorful, these packs by Rubbermaid are sure to fit in any lunch sack.

· Pencil Pouches (assorted), $3– These pencil pouches are the trendiest I’ve seen yet. These can also double as a makeup brush bag if you’re an older student.

Fun new products:

· Slap Ruler Bracelets, $2.99– If you are a child from the 80s you will remember slap bracelets, except these are way better! They are made of rubber and have a ruler on the back. If you need a straight edge for math, you’ll want to check out this one. My favorite design is “I mustache u a question.” Cute!

Dorm room ready:

· XLT Microplush Blanket, $19.99- Every student wants their room to feel like home, and this plush blanket screams comfort. It’s super soft and just the right size for those extra long twin beds you’ll only find in a college dorm room!

· Branch Bin in Blue/Green, $5.99 each- Store snacks, coffee or supplies in these sturdy, plastic bins.

· Room Essentials French Press, $12.99- A lot of college dorms have a rule about what kind of electric appliances are allowed in the room. Most just allow a microwave. So, why not have a french press in your room for coffee. No outlet needed!

· Xhilaration Quilted Charging Station, $7.99- Keep your smartphone or MP3 protected and separate in your dorm room with this sleek charging station. It also keeps cords from getting tangled and makes for a nice desk accessory.

Check out my appearance on The Rhode Show from August 14, where I talked more about these great products!
