For the purpose of this post, my family and I were given complimentary passes to enjoy Edaville USA. As always, all opinions are my own.
When you have young kids like I do, there comes a point where you learn their threshold for activities. For example, no more than two errands in a row or someone will be melting down or asking for a doughnut.
While they are as happy as clams to run around in the yard, I know they love to visit fun places even more.
One of our favorite local amusement parks to visit in the summer is Edaville USA. The park is located in South Carver, Massachusetts and is about an hour ride from where I live in Rhode Island. It’s the perfect amount of time for some of my three to catch a quick nap or eat some snacks.
We’ve been to Edaville about four times now and each time is better than the last.

Things we love to do at Edaville:
- Visit the Island of Sodor inside Thomas Land. In my opinion, they really nailed it and brought so many iconic buildings to life. Knapford Station, Tidmouth Sheds and the Post Office have all been transported from the English countryside to New England. The life-size trains parked in Tidmouth Sheds make for great photo ops!
- Take a 20-minute Thomas the Train ride around the park. We always cap off our day with a ride on Thomas. This calm ride is a nice way to unwind before you head home.
- Walk through Dino Land. It’s like Jurassic Park, but on the Cape.
- Enjoy as many rides as we can! My 5-year-old was tall enough to ride them all. However, my 2 and a half-year old, could go on all, but one. He wasn’t quite big enough for the roller coaster. There are so many new additions we cannot wait to check out. Family favorites are the Troublesome Trucks Runaway Coaster, Firefighting Flynn, the Carousel and the Ferris Wheel.
Check out a quick recap of our last trip to Edaville!
