“I participated in a Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for SwimWays. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for my participation.”
We have been so fortunate in the Northeast to get a taste of summer this past week. It was 80 degrees on Mother’s Day and in the 80s again today.
I’ll be honest, my kids’ closets are not ready for the warmer weather. We are in need of sandals, summer sneakers and shorts. But, that’s nothing a little online shopping can’t cure!
Even though summer doesn’t start until June, we do always have bathing suits at the ready because my kids love to swim at our local YMCA’s pool. We actually just started swim lessons two weeks ago for my oldest and so far, she’s loving it!
My two youngest have yet to take swim lessons because they haven’t really spent much time enjoying the pool. We’ve brought both of them in the water while we held them, but they haven’t splashed around on their own yet in a baby float.
My middle guy just tried the SwimWays Baby Spring Float last weekend and it was a game changer for him. At first he was unsure of what was happening. But, then he realized he was safe and started moving his legs. It was the cutest thing!
The SwimWays Baby Spring Float is the best baby float available for little ones. You can’t beat the price! And the reviews from parents are high. You can find it for $24.99 at Toys R Us. It really is a great way to introduce your baby to the water. The float is designed for babies 9-24 months old.
What I love about it:
- It’s secure: The float features two extra-large inflation chambers for added stability
- It’s sun safe: The sun canopy is adjustable and removable
- Soft and gentle fabric: The mesh play space allows for water toys and splashing
- It’s convenient: This float packs up nicely! A storage bag is included and it comes with a handle
While I want my children to become confident swimmers and understand that it’s imperative to know how to swim well, I also want them to enjoy it.
In fact, SwimWays created their Swim Steps line of products to help parents guide their children to swim confidently. I’m excited for my son to enjoy his new float all summer.
If you’re reading this post, I hope it serves as a reminder to swim safely this summer. On May 16, 2015, it’s the fourth annual National Learn to Swim Day.
This day was designed to remind parents, grandparents and guardians to kick off summer by teaching children about water safety and offering swim instructions. Just like us parents, SwimWays agrees that swimming is an important life skill and that all children should have the chance to learn how.
How young were your children when they learned to swim?

We used the same float by Swimways for my son when he was a baby! It is a great way to expose them to the water (and still keep an eye on my daughter who was swimming on her own!) and not have to keep holding them in your arms- gives them a little freedom! Have fun buddy! Looking good!

I agree, a great way to expose them. They also travel nicely and fit well in a suitcase, hopefully we can use it year round!
