Thanksgiving Crafts for the Family

November 6, 2017 By Courtney

If you’re looking for some quick and fun Thanksgiving crafts for your kids, I have two you may like. (I just demonstrated them on The Rhode Show for my local friends in Rhode Island.)

Not only are they great for any age, but they are ones the whole family can enjoy together.

Making a Thankful Tree, not only opens up conversation about what we are all thankful for, but it also makes for a beautiful and rustic centerpiece.

It’d also be a great ice breaker if you are hosting Thanksgiving because it will gather your guests together.

Thankful Tree

Materials Needed:
Tree Branch
Vase or Mason Jar
Acorns
Construction Paper
Hole Punch
Method:
Place your tree branch in the vase and fill with acorns to keep it in place.
Cut out leaves using your construction paper. Punch a hole on one end so you can hang it on your
tree.
Have your family write out what they are thankful on the leaves.
Hang the leaves on the branches.

Polka Dot Turkey (great for toddlers!)

Materials Needed:
Printable turkey body
Paint
Pom Poms or circle sponged paintbrush
Method:
Print out the turkey body. Click the photo to print it out!

In a rainbow pattern, have your child dot the feathers in a semi-circle around the turkey.
Draw the feet using a marker.
