I really wish I kept up with the Thankful Thursdays my friend Joanna hosts over on her blog, Baby Gators Den, but there’s always something, and I end up pushing off doing this post.
I feel it’s fitting now to write one seeing as though I’m two weeks away from my due date, and I may not get to post as often. And the truth is, there’s always a lot to be thankful for!
This is my “maternity edition” of Thankful Thursday.
I’m thankful:
I can still shave my legs in the shower without falling over. Seriously, other moms would agree, it’s a chore to keep up with “stuff” like this while pregnant.
I’m still feeling good for the most part. The back pain, leg cramps and Braxton Hicks are all peanuts compared to what labor and delivery will be like! I’ve been getting a few energy spurts, so that’s been helpful!
I’m pretty much done preparing for this baby. Nursery finished, bottles sanitized, clothes washed, swings and bouncers are put together, town police sergeant installed the car seat….This little boy can come any day now, and I will be ready. Hopefully….
My husband literally does anything and everything to help me out. From getting my vitamins while I’m in bed at night because I forgot, to STILL packing my lunch for work, to clearing the dinner table, to listening to me whine. It is much appreciated even when I forget to say it.

Walt and I at this year’s work holiday party. December 2012.
I’m not swollen yet. I remember being swollen with my first child and it was uncomfortable. This time, not yet and hopefully not all. Although, a lot can happen in two weeks!
What are you thankful for today?
Looks like you are all ready!!! YAY!! Good luck with everything!
Thanks Kristin!
I forgot about the leg shaving!!! Lol. I love your list and am ready for that baby to get here!! Thanks for linking up ๐
haha I know it! Me too! I try to keep my posts to a minimum so I don’t seem like Jessica Simpson who was pregnant forevs!!
I’m so glad you’re still feeling well! You look beautiful and I can’t wait to hear news of your little one’s arrival ๐
Thanks Megan! I’m crossing my fingers I have time to post some pics while in the hospital to share with you all. We all know delivery days sure are unpredictable! ๐
Omigoodness, you are SO close! I am 36 weeks and the Braxton Hicks are crazy lately-which has caused me go into a full-fledged nesting mode ๐
Me too! I’m getting all sorts of early labor signs and I have everyone on standby. It’s the craziest thing never knowing when it’ll happen. Good luck to you in the coming weeks Sarah!
You are more than not swollen- you look fantastic!!!! I am so excited for you!!
Thanks Melissa!!
It’s a good feeling knowing you’re done and ready. I didn’t swell at all with my son, the girls was a horror story. Good luck!
Funny how that is huh? I literally had no ankles with my daughter and with this little boy nothing. Crazy!
Yea for being ready! Seriously how great is it when the hubby get the vitamins! LOL
haha glad I’m not the only one who forgets!
Great post! Wishing you a great labor and delivery. You’re doctor will be impressed that your legs are shaved ๐
hahah Sheri! Let’s hope so! Although, I can’t make any promises over the next two weeks. ๐
I can’t believe your due date is so soon! SOOO exciting! I’m so glad you’ve had a lot to be thankful for during this pregnancy. Can’t wait for the little guy to arrive!
Thanks Jane! I’m hoping I can put up a quick post with a pic while in the hospital. We’ll see! I might have to ask my hubs to log in for me. ๐
You made me laugh outloud when I read about not falling when shaving in the shower!
hahah so true right?! It really is hard though! ๐
