As usual with these types of posts I’m late to the party. I really should be better committed to writing them weekly because of course, I have so much to be thankful for. But, life for me is busy lately and any chance I stop for a moment I’m either picking up toys, cooking or playing on social media. I need to check in with the world every now and then! haha
Here is what I’m thankful for this week:
1. I’m thankful I got to see Oz: The Great and Powerful in the theater last weekend. I am a HUGE fan of The Wizard of Oz (understatement of the year), and I really, really wanted to see it on the big screen, so I’m jazzed I did. My sister, W and I went together on a Saturday afternoon and saw it in 3D. It. Was. Amazing! I actually want to go again. Thanks to my mom for watching the kids so W and I could see a movie!
2. I’m thankful that I’ve been able to enjoy my children together while on maternity leave. I can’t believe Baby C is two months old today! I have 4 short weeks with my two little ones until I return to work, and I know it will fly by!
3. I’m thankful that we are able to take the kids to visit my dad in Florida very soon. He hasn’t met the baby yet, and a trip down south to warmer weather is just what I need after being cooped up this winter in the house every day.
4. I’m thankful for my best bud Riley. My little Lhasa Poo has a birthday in a few days and he is turning 5! Ahh, I could tear up thinking about it. He was our first little one. I still treat him like my child so he hasn’t fallen too far down the totem poll. That dog is a constant for me and this house and my life are better with him in it.
5. I’m thankful my husband still makes me a snack late at night before bed when I’m too lazy to go downstairs. He did every night while I was pregnant and still does it. I get even hungrier now while I’m nursing. My go to snack is one piece of wheat toast with butter and cinnamon and sugar.

I want to go to FL!! Have fun!!
Enjoy every last second of your maternity leave. It goes by waaayyy too fast, doesn’t it? Hmm, now I totally want some cinnamon toast ๐
I can’t wait to see this movie! H does not want to see it but I will go alone if I need to!! Looks incredible. Enjoy the last few weeks of maternity leave!
You have a new baby, a little girl and a dog….and you’re writing a blog post. You rock That is all.
I’m so happy that you got a chance to get out and see that movie! I’m dying to see it.
haha so true Jackie! I was able to write this post while my toddler watched Daniel Tiger and while the baby had his morning nap. Talk about multi-tasking!
That movie looks really cool, I can’t wait to watch it! I hope you enjoy the rest of your maternity leave– it’s gone by so fast! Thanks again for linking up ๐
Thanks for letting me link up! ๐
My almost seven year old wants to go see Oz, but I am pretty sure it’s not for her. Am I right? And, I get the doggy love. I didn’t used to, but ever since January when we got Lux, I am a convert! He’s my BABY!
Congrats on the new addition! What a cute name! ๐
Love the late-night snack ๐ So sweet! And I cannot believe your baby is already 2 months old!
Doesn’t time just fly?!
