I’m not going to lie, I’m not a huge spring cleaner. I much rather prefer to speed clean when I know I’m about to host a party or have company. Who’s with me?
However, I have come across some great hacks that help me spruce up my home in a jif. Trust me, you’ll love these!
Dryer Sheets Fight Grime
Got gunk? A dryer sheet is the perfect tool to get rid of grime on faucets, a showerhead, or other chrome surfaces. They also work really well to clean baseboards.
Washing Germs Off Plastic Toys
After the long winter, plastic toys are going to need a serious sanitizing session if you haven’t done so already. Stick only the plastic ones in the dishwasher or place them in a mesh bag in the washing machine for an easy wash. Be sure to select the no-spin cycle if using the washing machine.
Cleanup Accidental Wall Art
Did you know you can use non-gel toothpaste to get crayon off the wall? Squirt some toothpaste on the marks, let it sit for a few minutes, then wipe it clean with a damp cloth. Alternatively, toothpaste cleans rubber sneakers really well, too! An old toothbrush and some toothpaste can get them looking clean in no time!
Lint Rollers
Most of us use lint rollers to get pet hair off our clothes, but it works wonderfully on lampshades, drapes or throw pillows. Lint rollers are also great for picking up crumbs or dirt!
Quick Way to Clean a Toilet
Ahhh, the dreaded toilet. If you sprinkle 1 cup of Borax into your toilet bowl before you go to bed, it will make your cleaning time much faster the next day! Be sure to get the sides of the bowl, under the rim, and of course, in the bowl, too. In the morning, scrub your toilet quickly with a brush, and flush.
