September is Baby Safety Month, and since I’m currently expecting my second child, due in January, it’s got me thinking about the safety measures I need to get ready for again.
While we have certain safety measures already in place for our 2-year-old, like outlet covers, gates, cabinet safety locks etc…I’m wondering what else I need to do when our baby boy arrives.
For starters, I’ve been tossing the idea around of buying another digital video monitor. Right now, Chloé has one set up in her room and I love it. Even though she’s been sleeping through the night since she was 7 weeks old (Hallelujah!), I love just peeking at her and watching her sleep. I also love knowing that she isn’t up to any funny business in her crib.
Right now, I’m using the Day&Night® Handheld Color Video Monitor from Summer Infant.
If I buy a second camera then I’d have one on each child and could switch the channels back and forth to view them. Problem is, once you switch a channel, it’s almost like turning the monitor off on one child.
I’m on the hunt to find a digital video monitor that lets you view both children in separate rooms.
Does that even exist? If so, feel free to send me some info. Would love some feedback from moms who are currently using two cameras. I’d actually love to test drive some cameras before baby gets here, so we’re all set and ready to go!
