I’m sure most parents will agree that just as you’re getting your little one to sleep through the night, wham! Baby’s teeth are trying to come through.
I’ve often felt helpless trying to soothe my 5-month-old pain’s because we are literally trying everything at this point. He has a ton of teething rings/toys. I’ve tried homeopathic teething tabs, which worked the first time I used them, now not so much. Not to mention I’ve been reading a bunch of articles about how those products are not so safe. We also tried Tylenol last night.
He still woke up four times last night, and seven the night before. Eek! My poor little boy, he’s so tired and just wants to rest. (Of course I’m a zombie, but that goes without saying.)
The saddest part is, he’s a happy baby, so I know if he’s complaining, his gums must really be sore.

I’ve actually been on the lookout for other signs to make sure it’s teething and not something else. However, according to the Mayo Clinic, many parents suspect that teething causes fever and diarrhea, but researchers say this isn’t true. Teething can cause signs and symptoms in the mouth and gums — but not elsewhere in the body.
So, moms I’m seeking out your advice. Did you find one teething method worked best over others?

Addie has handled teething pretty well, but we have resorted to Tylenol some nights. It’s just a must when you’re both so tired.
Now that we are well into solids, frozen peas (as a snack) keep her happy throughout the day AND gives her veggies! It’s a win win… I hope the time passes quickly for you both <3
When my little guy (now 6 years old) was getting his upper teeth their arrival always brought a runny nose with them….every single time. I don’t remember exactly what we used but I do remember lots and lots of cold applesauce (he was a late teether). I hope your little one is feeling better soon.
Oh, Courtney, I wish I could help. My kids are all grown-up now and even my grandkids are far beyond this stage and I can’t remember who gave what to whom. On a lighter note, my late mother-in-law always insisted that rubbing whiskey on the baby’s teeth worked wonders. Um. No. But can’t say I wasn’t tempted! Hoping this passes soon…
My girls always handled teething pretty well and with a little bit of Tylenol they were good to go. But I’ve been told the Hylands teething tablets worked well too!
I remember those days. I think the Hylands teething tablets really worked!
So you used those too? We used them twice yesterday and the first time they really worked. Couldn’t tell if they worked the second time, as lil C had same symptoms as not using them. Did you read anything scary about the tablets? I’m not sure whether or not to stop using them?
