I must apologize in advance for dropping off the face of the planet for the past few weeks, I’ve been consumed by much more than a beautiful baby boy if you can believe it!
Baby C was born on January 14 at 10:08 a.m., weighing in at 7 lbs 5 ounces and 20 inches. He was and is just perfect. He’s healthy and happy and we couldn’t be more in love with him.
Life has been quietly hectic (if that makes any sense?), and we are all adjusting. It’s been a difficult recovery for me, as I had a reaction to something during my surgery and received a pretty nasty and painful chemical burn that is still healing. That slowed me down quite a bit, as did the c-section.
Days after Baby C was born, I broke out in an all over body rash/hives situation thanks to some lactation cookies I ordered online to help boost my milk supply. Turns out I’m allergic to flaxseed. Who knew?! Now, my husband is eating the cookies that are made for nursing mothers. haha I promised him he wouldn’t produce milk by eating them, he doesn’t seem so sure!
Through the MINOR health hurdles, it was a challenge to do daily tasks for a bit, but we did it, and I couldn’t be happier. Mostly, because Baby C is doing so well, and for me that’s really all that matters. As for me, I’m on the mend, and feel one million times better!
Without further adieu, meet our wonderful new addition. Here are some photos from our newborn photography session with the amazing Heidi Hope of Heidi Hope Photography.
We took our first child to her and treasure the photos. I can’t wait to add Baby C on the wall right next to his big sister.
