‘First Response’ Confirms Your Early Signs of Pregnancy

June 17, 2015 By Courtney

“I participated in a Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for First Response. I received product samples as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.”

I was so LUCKY this past weekend to be in the presence of @munchkinsandmohawks at @heidi_hope #prretreat2015. My family and I were models for a part of their workshop. This is a sneak peek of what's to come and I am swooning over it! This particular shot is of me and two of my kids. #photographerrising Regram: @wendysheaphotography

Early on, the only positive way of finding out you are pregnant before your missed period is to take a pregnancy test.

I have three children and each and every time I became pregnant I knew it before my period was due to arrive. I felt something was going on thanks to several weird, early signs.

Those early signs gave me the hunch I needed to take a test. Or two. Or three.

Some early signs I knew I was pregnant:

  • Frequent urination. The toilet was seriously my best friend. I was never one to get up in the middle of the night to pee, but each time I was pregnant I would get up once or twice a night.
  • Exhaustion. As your body starts the baby-making process you start to drag your feet. In the beginning I could nap for hours or at least feel like I needed to.
  • Heightened sense of smell. When I was pregnant I had the nose of a Bloodhound. I became super sensitive to things and was turned off by scents that didn’t use to bother me.

Couple those early signs and a missed period, you have reason to believe it’s the real deal! My husband used to joke that I was addicted to the stick.

I would drive to a few pharmacies and buy different brands to be absolutely sure. He would say “how many do you need to pee on before you believe it?!” I don’t know, like at least five sticks?

Even though I was a little excessive about my test taking, there is really no need to buy that many.

Gone are the days of analog tests and detection after your missed period.

First Response pregnancy tests are so advanced they can detect pregnancy as early as six days before Aunt Flo comes.

In my experience, the second you even think you could be pregnant, you want to know right away!

Four years ago when I saw a positive result for the first time, I remember the lines were faint but visible. I also remember reading the pamphlet over and over because I was nervous I didn’t do it right.

Did I pee too much? Should I have dipped it in a cup instead? Did I actually get pee on the stick and not miss it completely?

Thankfully, I didn’t mess the test up and it confirmed my intuition. But, now First Response’s Early Result Pregnancy Test has been redesigned so you won’t have to ask yourself the same questions I did.

Some of the new features include:

  • Cutting-edge curved shape designed to fit a woman’s hand
  • 50% wider tip
  • Longer handle

The test is designed to detect all forms of urinary hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) throughout pregnancy. The results are easy to read and will appear in three minutes. Can you even believe our mothers and grandmothers didn’t know for months?! That’s just bananas to me.

With First Response’s Early Detection Test, two pink lines means you’re pregnant. You have the chance to see that beautiful image anytime of the day, too. No more testing just in the morning!

I remember being told a few years back to test only in the morning when your hCG levels are at their highest, because your urine is really concentrated during that time. That may be true, but at least with this FDA-approved test you don’t have to delay.

If you are trying to conceive and plan on being pregnant soon, definitely check out this new and improved early detection test.

First Response Early Detection Pregnancy Test is available at all major drugstores, mass and grocery stores. It retails between $8.99 – $15.99.

I’m sprinkling baby dust out there to all of you ladies who are trying to conceive!
