Christmas gifts means post-Christmas “thank yous”

December 20, 2012 By Courtney

In the past, I never really gave it much thought to send a formal thank you card for a Christmas gift. Like a lot of people, most of the time I’ve exchanged in person with someone, and I’ve just thanked them at that moment.

But, all of my husband’s family is on the west coast and most of my dad’s family, including him, are all in Florida, so it has now become normal for us to send each other wrapped Christmas gifts in the mail, along with millions of others in the country!

In about one week, it will be time to start sending out some thank you cards. The past few years I’ve been using generic stationary, but custom cards seem to be all the rage, and Tiny Prints has some pretty amazing ones on their site right now!

You can send a lasting “thank you” by creating a custom card that is made from high-quality paper and is customized with your pictures and your own text. Your family, friends and co-workers are sure to love it!

Check out Tiny Prints right away and say “thank you” in style this year. Remember to use promo code DOD1220 to save 50%!

This sale begins Thursday, December 20 at 10 a.m. PST and ends 9 a.m. PST Friday, December 21.

Do you send out thank you cards for Christmas gifts? If not, do you like the idea?

Great idea! And I’m slightly embarrassed to admit I never even thought of sending Xmas thank you cards. What a brilliant and thoughtful idea – and so much nicer than an email, which we often tend to do ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for sharing!

I love sending personalized Thank You cards! Usually for the girls birthdays & Christening, baby gifts & showers… I use pictures to personalize them when they are from the girls! I think it’s more fun that way & I always hand write the “Thank You” piece of the card! Love Tiny Prints too! We used them for our Christmas cards!

I do like the idea of sending out thank you notes for Christmas, particularly if you don’t get to see the person face-to-face to thank them. These are so cute!

Love these personalized cards! I would love to have these, just to have them when I need them. I don’t tend to write thank-yous for Christmas gifts, but for most other things, I do!

And as a teacher you probably wrote 30! I’ve only sent two thank you’s out so far, but I know there will be more next week. It could sort of be a cute tradition. It’s also a good way to use some more Christmas photos of the kids that might not have made the holiday card!

This is great Courtney, thanks for sharing the code! When I was a teacher I always wrote thank-yous to my students but in general I tend not to. ALthough now that I have kids, I have relatives that send gifts to them in the mail. I think I should probably start writing thank-yous for those. ๐Ÿ™‚
