Ways Our Family Embraces the Holiday Season #HowWeFamily

December 15, 2015 By Courtney

I have received information from the makers of TYLENOL®. The opinions stated are my own. This is a sponsored post.

Christmas is my favorite time of year. Mostly because our family gets together and we all slow down to catch up, eat good food and participate in traditions.

Now that my kids have a bit of an understanding of why we celebrate Christmas, they’re really starting to enjoy what it’s all about.

Here are some ways we like to celebrate the season.

  1. Make an easy gingerbread house
  2. Create and decorate Christmas cookies
  3. Visit popular Christmas lights displays
  4. Watch Christmas movies
  5. Enjoy a picnic lunch or dinner by the Christmas tree
  6. Buy a toy or toys for a child in need
  7. Make and send Christmas cards for soldiers overseas
  8. Visit Santa!

There are so many family activities we like to do, but nothing beats just hanging around with each other.

This poor sweetie has been sick with a fever since Sunday and still is. I had promised her we'd make our gingerbread house today and we did. She did great! I love that it's made from graham crackers and milk cartons! Thanks @homesweetmamamia for the idea!

My Papa, who is no longer with us, used to play UNO with the kids to help keep them entertained. I haven’t played that in years, but I’m hoping to bring back that tradition and teach my kids the game.

This holiday season, TYLENOL® is celebrating all families and how they come together during this special time of the year.

Check out this beautiful video below.

It’s a compilation of real moments from real families that showcases joy, laughter, surprise, and unconditional love.

The video just makes my heart smile and brings tears my eyes. I know we all can relate and have our own special moments like this.

What kind of special traditions do you and your family have?
