My family and I live in New England. This region is super fun during the summer for many reasons, one of them being the accessibility to seafood.
Even though a lot places offer local seafood, there’s another restaurant to add to your list. And the location may surprise you!
Beginning on June 27, select McDonald’s restaurants in New England reintroduced the Lobster Roll to their summer menu for the first time in 10 years.
This regional favorite includes a generous portion of 100% Real North Atlantic Lobster mixed with mayonnaise dressing, layered on crisp lettuce and served on a toasted roll.
At the beginning of the holiday weekend, my family and I enjoyed a quick-lunch at our local McDonald’s. A Lobster Roll was the perfect treat to kick off our Fourth of July festivities!

Our thoughts on the Lobster Roll:
- Lots of lobster cut into big chunks
- Good sized portion for the price
- Fresh lettuce
- Mayonnaise was not too rich, had a light flavor
If you like lobster, you’ll definitely be pleased with this sandwich.
For the price of $7.99 and clocking in at only 290 calories, the Lobster Roll makes a great lunch or dinner option if you’re craving a classic New England summer treat.
For a busy mom, the fact that this sandwich comes quick makes it all the more appealing!

McDonald’s restaurants serving the Lobster Roll include those in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut (excluding Fairfield County).
The Lobster Roll is available now through mid-August.
Will you be trying McDonald’s Lobster Roll this summer?
