We all have traditions or things we do on a daily or semi-regular basis. One of those for me is visiting Dunkin’ Donuts. I’d like to say it was just for the tasty pick-me-up, but my three biscuits in the backseat are usually asking for a treat. It’s tough not to order something else, as there is so much to choose from!
While I start each morning with a hot coffee at home, any time I am out running errands I am stopping at Dunkin’ to get an iced coffee.
However, even if I have no errands to run on May 25, I will pulling up to the Dunkin’ Donuts drive-thru in Seekonk or Warren for Iced Coffee Day.
Dunkin’ Donuts’ annual Iced Coffee Day is a fundraising initiative that benefits Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence.
$1 from every iced coffee sold will be donated from participating Dunkin’ Donuts in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts.
The campaign launched in 2010. And since then, Dunkin’ Donuts franchisees have raised nearly $775,000 for the children’s hospital. That’s a whole lotta java!
The funds have been used to install a new play area in the pediatric ambulatory clinic, and most recently, the renovation of the sixth-floor family room.
This year’s proceeds will help launch a new neighborhood and family safety program.
So, mark your calendar now! May 25, 2016 is Iced Coffee Day and while you’ll be treating yourself, you’ll also be helping others.
Disclosure: This is a sponsored post but all opinions about Dunkin’ Donuts are my own.
