This is a sponsored post from Dunkin’ Donuts but all ideas included in the gift basket are my own.
Being a life long New Englander, I’ve never noticed anyone who doesn’t “run on Dunkin’.” My dad, who is a Rhode Island native, moved to Florida about six years ago, and still visits his local Dunkin’ every day.
Each year, I usually mail him a gift card to Dunkin’ Donuts along with another gift. But, this year, I felt I needed to switch things up a bit.
I visited my local Dunkin’ Donuts and picked up everything I needed to make a Coffee Lovers Gift Basket.
How to make a DIY Coffee Lovers Gift Basket
First, think of what your gift recipient likes. Flavored coffee, whole beans, ground coffee, K-Cups….that should help you narrow down what you’re going to put in your basket.
I went with a 1 lb. bag of the Original Roast ground coffee. Can’t go wrong there. ??
I picked out two mugs for the basket, as well. One for my dad and one for his wife, that way they can enjoy the coffee together. ☕️☕️
I’m loving the new DIY mug Dunkin’ is offering. My 6-year-old and 3-year-old are going to go to town on that and it will be a great keepsake for their Papa.
For the Dunkin’ DIY mug, you can use the included stencil and three markers to decorate it with a message from your kids, or allow them to personalize the 11 oz. mug themselves.
To mix up the contents of the basket, find some other items that will keep it festive. I threw in some Hot Chocolate K-Cups, too. That’s always a fun idea if you know your gift recipient has a Keurig machine.
I also couldn’t help myself when I saw the Elf on the Shelf ornament. It’s such a cute item to include in this particular Coffee Lovers Basket. Actually, if you don’t want to gift it, you could always stick it in your kids’ stockings, too!
Other items you could purchase to include in this kind of basket:
- Chocolate candies
- Biscotti
- A Dunkin’ Donuts gift card
- Travel tumbler
- Coffee scented candle
So, once you have all of items for the gift basket, you need to find a suitable basket or box to put it in.
I decided to use a wire basket that could double as a table centerpiece. But, I think a holiday box or vintage wooden box works, too. Be creative! As long as all of the stuff fits in, I’d say it’ll work.
Have fun with it! I always thought themed gift baskets were cool and would love to get one.
Dunkin’ Donuts 12 Days of Joy
If you a regular visitor to Dunkin’ Donuts, you may notice a local program that’s happening this month. It’s happening on social media and it’s called the 12 Days of Joy.
Basically, it’s 12 days of local photos of the new Dunkin’ Elf on the Shelf ornament all over Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts, with social media followers guessing the elf’s location. If you guess right, you’ll get a surprise from Dunkin’ for your participation. Follow along on social using the hashtag #JoyToPVD.
Free Hot Coffee
And since it’s the most wonderful time of the year, Dunkin’ is brewing a little something for its customers this month.
Two local Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants will be giving away 500 free medium hot coffees for one day only in December. The date is to be announced but it will happen in the next few weeks! This is Dunkin’s way to spread some joy to busy shoppers.
There are lots of coffee-related fun happening this month, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled! ?
