On Friday, I joined my friends at CBS’ The Rhode Show in Providence, Rhode Island on Friday, to share some fun and easy crafts to do with the kids this Halloween.
We had a lot of fun making a DIY Paper Lantern and showing off some other super cute craft ideas.
We are officially one week away from the big day, but there’s still plenty of time to do some activities to get your kids in the spirit!
Check out my video tutorial on DIY Paper Lanterns, Hand-print Spiders and Toilet Paper Tube Frankensteins.
Here are 3 easy Halloween crafts for kids!
DIY Paper Lantern
Supplies:
- Paper lunch bag
- Marker
- Tape
- Scissors (optional)
Method:
Draw a ghost face on the outside of the bag. Alternatively, you can also cut out the eyes and mouth.
Wrap bag around the top of the flashlight, leaving room for the on/off button, tape bag to flashlight.
Toilet Paper Tube Frankenstein
Supplies:
- Toilet paper tube
- Googly eyes
- Marker, crayons
- Popsicle stick or golf tees
Method:
See the blog, No Time For Flashcards for steps. This wonderful website came up with the idea and has a very information description on how to make it!
Hand-print Spider
Supplies
- White paper
- Black washable, non-toxic paint
Method:
Paint just the four fingers and palm of hand with black paint. Remember, do not do the thumb.
Make hand-print on paper. Paint hand again just as you did. And do the other half of the spider by placing your child’s palm over the other palm in the opposite direction. You’ll see it has eight legs.
Once paint dries, glue on googly eyes.
Finally, your child can draw a landscape around the spider.
