Celebrating my 3 year ‘blogiversary’ with a makeover

I can’t believe this July it will be three years since I started The Mod Mommy. I remember I had no idea what to do for a first post, so I just started writing. It was kind of lame actually, but over time, the blog took on a life of its own and I found my niche.

At the time, I had no idea what I wanted my blog to look like design-wise because I didn’t even know where it was heading. But, I’m so happy that my mission is clearer and I’ve now given it a clear identity.

Samantha Johnston of Neopolitan Designs somehow knew what I wanted in my blog makeover and made it happen. We must have went back and forth a hundred times over nips and tucks, but I couldn’t be happier with the finished product.

She started out by using my original blog design as a jumping off point, then I quickly realized I needed it to have more oomph. She sensed that and immediately sent me more designs for my new logo until it was just right. I loved her design right away and have no idea how she knew what I wanted.

Samantha worked diligently with me on the layout, logo, favicon, color options in the theme, widget area, menu, blog button and even business cards! (Which, by the way I love and cannot wait to hand out at my next conference!)

When Samantha and I first started chatting about this project she told me she could pretty much work within any budget, which was definitely great to hear.

I’m thrilled to have a blog makeover just in time for my three-year anniversary and to have it all done before my third child arrives. I couldn’t be happier and love that Samantha was so easy to work with. I’d recommend Neopolitan Designs to anyone who needs some design help and inspiration.
