Little by little I’ve been building a new skin care regimen to only include all-natural or organic products.
It’s overwhelming and can be expensive, but well worth it. Instead of throwing everything I have out, I’ve replaced products as they run out, one by one. In my opinion, not only is it easier to do it that way, but it allows you try different brands.
So far, I’ve switched from body wash to pure castile oil bar soap and bought all-natural eye cream and anti-aging serum.
Finding chemical free products can be difficult, but there are some great products out there.
When I found out Block Island Organics just added a facial moisturizer I knew I had to try to it. I wrote about this Rhode Island company last year and used their sunscreen all summer.
First of all, this moisturizer has no parabens, sulfates, petrochemicals, phthalates, dyes or fragrance. And it’s made in the USA.
My face felt fresh and smooth after application. I like a dewey feel and that’s just what I got with this. I’d say I have normal to combination skin. It’s not dry but can get shiny in my T-zone.
As you’ll see in the ingredients list below, only organic and natural ingredients are used. It’s a clear zinc only formula and according to the company, using clear zinc is the safest and best UV filter.
Block Island Organics Facial Moisturizer has SPF 30 sun protection to prevent wrinkles and early skin aging.
One of my favorite things about it, besides being chemical free, is that it has no heavy perfumes. This is a product I feel safe using on my kids.
