I’ve written about my love affair with breakfast before. I could eat it at any point of the day. My most favorite breakfast item to eat is home fries, followed by a cheese omelet, with home fries in it. You see where I’m going?
But, I love it all, including oatmeal. Not that oatmeal has a bad wrap, but it’s often overlooked. As a busy mom, it’s my go-to at work because I can pack it with me in my purse and it is super quick and easy to make.
It’s tough to find meal ideas that have it all. Healthy, quick and filling all come to mind when I’m thinking about what I want to eat.
Pairing any of the following breakfast ideas with one of the new MilkWise beverages will give you the benefits you’re looking for.
MilkWise has 46% fewer calories than milk, 50% more calcium and 33% less sugar than milk.
That leaves you with the option of eating bacon. And more home fries.
Of the three types available – Original, Vanilla and Reduced Sugar Vanilla – the Vanilla is definitely my favorite!
In no particular order, here are some of the best breakfast foods to pair with MilkWise:
- Muffins
- Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread – check out the recipe my family and I enjoy
- Frittata
- Eggs Benedict or any kind of egg for that matter…the cured meat will have you reaching for your MilkWise, though!
- Oatmeal – Because calcium and fiber could be best friends
- Chia Pudding – My two boys and I eat this most mornings. Although, they never want to share!
- Waffles or Pancakes
- Breakfast bowls – This is an egg-based dish. They’re so versatile you can add vegetables, meat or whatever you have in your fridge.
- Scones – Because again, you’ll need a cold drink. And nobody likes to be parched.
What’s your go-to breakfast meal?
