I received samples to facilitate this Back to School post. As always, I only mention brands that I feel would be of interest to my readers. All opinions are my own.
My oldest is in first grade so I didn’t really have a huge school supply list for her. I picked up some #2 pencils, highlighters, glue sticks and boxes of tissues. And even though she didn’t need a lot of actual school stuff, I did want to make sure we were covered in other back to school areas.
Here are some great products that could work for you and your family this back to school year.
Back to School Carpooling
The BubbleBum inflatable car booster seat is great for every little student to keep in a locker or backpack.
What I love about it: It’s for kids ages 4-11, perfect for carpool days. It’s portable, packable and comfortable. I keep ours in my glove box because you never know when you need to give someone a ride home. It also fits in backpacks, too!
Back to School Organization
The new school year is the perfect time to organize closets, bedrooms or create a mudroom. Our boys share a room and to keep everything orderly, we have to separate their clothes and shoes in the closet.
We recently put together a DIY shoe rack from Modular Closets. It’s an all wood unit from Modular Closets and took less than 10 minutes to put together. Even my 4-year-old helped!
What I love about it: You can choose from a pre-designed closet or put together closet sections for a custom design. It’s affordable, too! Since Modular Closets is the manufacturer, this enables them to offer savings of 40-50% over comparative closet providers.
Back to School Homework or Reading Stations
We are so fortunate that my daughter’s school has a no homework policy. However, with that said, I still wanted her and my sons to have a place to relax and read.
We’re currently using a gorgeous Lorena Canals rug to hang out on. Lorena Canals rugs and cushions are machine washable, natural and hypoallergenic. I love that I can toss it in the washing machine to clean it.
We paired the rug with one of the company’s new storage baskets. The baskets are great for books, notebooks, electronic accessories, arts and craft items and more!
What I love about it: The rugs are gorgeous, full of style and like I said, easy to clean!
Back to school commute
If you have a child who is able to bike or scooter to school, Mongoose has some awesome foldable scooters that they just released, like the Force 3.0 scooter. They’re great for keeping in lockers or even riding to the bus stop.
Not only does the scooter fold, but the handles fold down, too, making for easy storage. It won’t crowd your trunk!
And if you’re looking for a way for your kids to shake their sillies out after school, the Mongoose Stance Pro is a great option.
Both scooters supports children ages 8+.
What I love about it: These scooters will stand the test of time. The ride is smooth and they are very sturdy. Plus, the price is on point!
Back to School Labels
Gone are the days of having your child’s name washed off their water bottle. For years, I’ve been using permanent marker and it always washes off. My neighbor told me about Inch Bug Orbit Labels and they were love at first sight!
Inch Bug makes reusable personalized labels that stretch and fit around bottles, sippy cups and snack containers. These are wonderful for any school age child.
What I love about it: These labels will not only never wash away, they will also never peel or fade.
