Ava Anderson Ends Journey with Company; Business Will Move Forward and Re-Brand

January 25, 2016 By Courtney

Ava Anderson Non-Toxic, one of my favorite self-care and beauty brands is going through some major changes. A big announcement was made on the company’s website Monday, and it came as a total shock to the company’s consultants, as well as customers, like myself.

While details are still unfolding, officials with Ava Anderson LLC said they will operate under a new name and new management. They said products will all be moved in-house and the goal is still to work toward USDA organic certification.

Customers will notice that the website is currently down as inventory is being taken. They ask that customers keep checking back for more updates.

On avaandersonnontoxic.com, the family left the following message:

We are a family who has supported our daughter, in a sincere and unselfish mission to educate everyone about this important issue, and know that we have made a difference, with the support of our Consultants and all of you.  Our amazing and dedicated team has worked tirelessly for all of you. We have done everything in this business from sourcing and manufacturing products, to the way we pay and treat each and every team member in our home office and each Ava Anderson Consultant with the highest of integrity always!

We hope you will be able to understand that our daughter has been under attack, online and in person, and has been tethered to social media for years, attempting to protect the brand and the company she cares so much for, as well as for each of you. She (and our family and team) have always felt a tremendous responsibility to all of you and we have done our very best to fulfill that.

We simply cannot see any possible happiness or peace for her future or our family being treated this way.  We have tolerated it for years to build this company, but have lost the ability to battle and continue to sustain the barrage daily. We know your hearts and believe you would take this same action if your child or family were being treated this way and could no longer function.

We are so sorry for this, the most difficult decision of our lives, but we can see no other way to continue.

With gratitude, The Anderson Family

I personally am pleased with Ava Anderson products, and I hope the re-brand will keep her message in tact.

I have read many online posts where bloggers have been mean toward Ava and the company about disclosure of their ingredients. Whether or not their accusations are true, it’s sad that the family felt compelled to end their journey due to the treatment from others.

Ava Anderson Communications Manager Julie Marrinucci told Providence Business News that the company was victimized by “some unscrupulous vendors who didn’t disclose all of the ingredients in some of our products.”

Ava Anderson hails from my town and we in Rhode Island are proud of her young entrepreneurial business.

If you’re an Ava Anderson Non Toxic customer, be on the lookout for more information on the re-brand and how to place any new orders.

If you are going to comment below, please be nice, as I’m just posting this news to inform others, not debate about whether the products are what they say they are.

I love Ava Anderson and her products. I use the entire avaSkin line every day! This has become 100,000x a bigger deal though because she walked away from a controversy that could have been resolved by honesty and a top-notch crisis PR team. Many companies have come back from far worse. It will be interesting to see how things unfold in the next few weeks.

I am sad for them! That is just awful- A person who started out trying to do good things, and provide good products for others, is a target for people to hate and take advantage- good for the family in making this hard choice to protect her. I will be on the lookout for what happens next with them!
