Huggies Snug N Dry selfie contest benefits your community

June 22, 2015 By Courtney

fresh faced courtEach month our family likes to choose one organization or cause to donate to. It’s something my husband and I have done since we got married and we still continue it with our children.

Besides helping those in need, donating has also served as a learning tool to teach our kids how they can impact their community.

This month I’m excited to share details about a fun project from Huggies that could award a $2,000 grant to an organization in your area.

The best part? To nominate your community initiative, all you have to do is take a selfie of you and your baby and include #UltraHug in your social media post.

You have to act fast, the contest closes June 25th!

>> More on the contest!

From now until then, Huggies will be accepting all selfies with the hashtag #UltraHug and will feature them in a collage on their website.

Coming up on July 6th, voting will begin to narrow down the 20 finalists to 10 winners who will win a $2,000 grant from Huggies for their nominated community initiative. So awesome, right?!

My family and I have nominated Paws New England.

Animals, dogs especially, are near and dear to me. My dog Riley is an important member of our family and is considered my first baby.

My dog Riley, the Lhasa Poo.

My dog Riley, the Lhasa Poo.

He’s been by my side through many milestones and I can’t imagine life without him.

Paws New England is a wonderful local organization that runs entirely on donation and they accomplish three very important things for dogs in need.

They rescue, rehab and re-home.

They rescue abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs from high-kill shelters. A lot of which are down south where the numbers are staggering.

Next, they provide veterinary care and much needed TLC.

They are able to do that by generous donations from animal lovers like myself.

And when they’re ready, they place the dogs into loving homes.

Donations to Paws New England allows the organization to:

  • Buy foster dogs toys and other comfort items.
  • Give a dog food and fresh water.
  • Provide a dog with basic or much-needed veterinary care.
  • Rescue a dog from a high-kill shelter and transport them into a safe and loving foster home.
  • Help fund the construction of an outdoor pen in their dog sanctuary that will save the lives of over 35 dogs a year.

How to Enter the #UltraHug Selfie Contest

• First, take a selfie of you and your baby and upload that selfie to Twitter or Instagram. Make sure to use the hashtag #UltraHug

• In your same post, make sure to include a text nomination (approximately 100 – 120 characters) including a name and/or identifying description of a community project in the US, which you would like to nominate. Make sure the community project is something near and dear to your heart.

It’s so cool to see a trusted brand like Huggies run a contest like this. This brand has been a favorite in our house, as all three of my kids have worn their diapers.

They offer long-lasting leakage protection and I don’t have to worry about a soaked diaper, allowing me to focus on chasing my baby during his daily adventures.

Features of Huggies Snug & Dry Ultra

  • The range of sizes fit babies from newborn to 35 lbs.
  • Only Huggies Snug & Dry Ultra Diapers have a new, unique quilted liner to lock away wetness better. They have a conforming, gap-free fit to keep your active baby dry throughout the day.
  • The Leak Lock® System has quick-absorbing layers for up to 12 hours of protection.

To try Huggies Snug & Dry Ultra Diapers for yourself, visit your local Walmart or Walmart.com.

I can’t wait to see your selfies with your baby and see who you nominate in your local community. Remember, #UltraHug!
