My husband and I just came back from a weekend trip to New York City without the baby. This was our first time away without her, but it was only for one night. This story is not really part of the post, but the reason I’m bringing this topic up.
The weekend was great, we really did have an awesome time, and were able to re-charge. But while we were there, everything reminded me of my daughter Chloe, and at times I was I wishing she were there with us.
Long story short, a ton of moms were using baby carriers to get around the city. Specifically the ERGO baby carrier. Of course, now I want one because I’ve seen it multiple times.
My daughter hasn’t been in one since she was probably six months old. We had a Snugli then. So my question is, is it too late to try her in this one? She’s just starting to learn how to walk, so I’m unsure of how long she’ll last, but I really want to try it.
I’ve been reading rave reviews about it. And, it holds a child up to 40 pounds! So, if she likes it, I’ll have it awhile.
Has anyone had any success with baby carriers? And if so, at what age did you find it most helpful?
