Apple Pie Crescents

  • 2 apples peeled, cored and diced
  • 6 tbsp. unsalted butter
  • ¼ cup of sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 cans of store bought crescent rolls
  1. Using a large saute pan, add unsalted butter, apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt, lemon juice and vanilla and bring to a simmer on medium high heat. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Reduce heat to medium-low and continue to simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
  3. Remove the pan from heat and allow the apple mixture to cool. Set aside.
  4. Follow the directions on your store-bought crescent roll package.
  5. Unroll each triangle within the package and place 1 tbsp of filling at the bottom of the triangle.
  6. Roll from the wide part toward the thin part of the triangle.
  7. Curl ends of the dough to shape a crescent.
  8. Bake for 10-12 in a 375 degree oven.
  9. Sprinkle top of crescents with powdered sugar.
