There’s never a shortage of laughs and giggles when my kids get the opportunity to engage with other children or play with new toys.
Christmas came early in our house when Bright Starts sent us a big box of toys to get them and their friends wiggling.
Included in our Play Date package was the:
- Learn & Giggle Fish – This toy is so much fun to play with. The boys really enjoyed dancing to the lights and music! The Learn & Giggle Fish also helps baby discover letters, numbers and shapes.
- Learn & Giggle Activity Station – I could barely get this toy out of the box fast enough. Everyone wanted to play with it! It kept the kids occupied the longest, as it had so much for them to do. One of the coolest features is the flip book. Each flip page interacts with a different window pane telling stories of different times of day. Babies can press the buttons to hear phrases, shapes, colors, letters, numbers and more. There are surprises and several things on the activity center light up to keep baby engaged. Believe it or not, this toy has more than 65 sounds, melodies, lights and phrases!
- Giggables- This adorable little toy is meant to roll and giggle. My one-year-old especially enjoyed rolling it back and forth with me as the little “dog” ball laughed. The Giggles come in six silly characters. Super cute! Would also make for a fun stocking stuffer.
Check out a quick recap of our afternoon Bright Starts Play Date!
While the kids played, us moms munched on some delicious Roll & Go Wraps.
Roll & Go Wraps
Protein is a must for busy moms!
Ingredients:
- Hummus
- 10-inch wheat or corn tortillas
- Thinly sliced cheese
- Thinly sliced turkey lunch meat
Directions:
- Spread tortillas with a thin layer of hummus
- Place a single layer of cheese on top.
- Place a single layer of turkey on top of the cheese.
- Starting with the side closest to you, roll the tortillas up tightening. Trim off the ends.
- Cut each tortilla into 6 or 8 slices.
- Serve immediately or cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to eat!
And since babies barely take a break from playing to eat, finger foods that can eat “picnic-style” work well. Bright Starts has some great healthy snack ideas for tiny tummies. This one was my favorite.
