More than 200 Rhode Islanders turned on their flashlights for the Good Night Lights event at India Point Park in Providence on Iced Coffee Day.

Good Night Lights is a daily tradition in which residents, businesses and law enforcement officials let the children at Hasbro Children’s Hospital know they’re thinking of them.
Every night, at exactly 8:30 p.m., Good Night Lights participants shine flashlights (and police cars, firetrucks and ambulances turn on their lights) toward the hospital from various locations in downtown Providence. In return, patients in the hospital flicker their room lights on and off and shine their own flashlights from their windows.
The newly formed partnership between Good Night Lights and Dunkin’ Donuts was a great way to end Iced Coffee Day!
Iced Coffee Day has become an annual fundraiser where Dunkin’ Donuts donates $1 from every iced coffee sold to Hasbro Children’s Hospital.
Leading up to the big event, Dunkin’ Donuts handed out flashlights to customers as a reminder to participate.
Hey @DunkinProv some clever marketing there with your keychain lights promoting #IcedCoffeeDay 👍 pic.twitter.com/3LHiSzyXCP

Like year’s past, the Iced Coffee Day of 2018 was no different; a huge success!
All day long on Iced Coffee Day, Dunkin’ Donuts hosted mini events at various store locations, getting devoted customers excited to support this local cause.
Some surprising people were seen working behind the counter. From political figures to local celebrities and even a Patriot, everyone had the same goal this May 23, and that was to encourage people to take part in this great cause.
It’s such a lovely thing to see so many Rhode Island communities come together to do some good. Looking forward to seeing what next year’s event brings!
