Thank you to Kingdom Strollers for partnering with The Mod Mommy. Kingdom Strollers provided a double stroller rental to my family for our Disney stay in exchange for this honest post.
It seems we’ve been visiting Disney World every other year with our kids and each time we’ve been, our group keeps getting larger! Each time we visit, I’ve gotten better at planning, making our vacation a bit smoother.
Besides being organized, there are lots of things Disney World does, too, that helps families have a stress-free time.
5 Things That Made Our Disney Trip With Young Kids Easier
Rent a Stroller
I tracked how far I walked each day and it was around 2.5 miles each time in the park! My kids didn’t walk that many miles, but that was because I rented a double stroller so they could take turns resting.
I also brought my umbrella stroller for my 1-year-old. It’s easy to lug around and folds down in a breeze. I didn’t want to bring my double stroller, too, because I didn’t need more things to carry in the airport. Four kids and all of our luggage was about all I could handle! 🤪
While Disney offers stroller rentals, they don’t recline and aren’t comfortable, in my opinion.
Instead, we rented with Kingdom Strollers for the second time. The process to rent is easy and so is the pickup.
Once you place your rental order on Kingdom Strollers’ website, the next thing you do is pick your stroller up at Bell Services of your hotel.
You choose the time of delivery and pick up and they do the rest!
When I arrived at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, I went to Bell Services, gave my name and they wheeled out the stroller. 🙌🏻
The stroller also has your name on it so it’s easy to find in the park, too.
Renting a stroller that was comfortable and had a significant sun shade was a life saver. My boys took turns sitting in it and my 4-year-old napped in it each day.
There are many strollers to choose from at Kingdom Strollers, all you need to do is select one that fits your family’s needs.
Next time you go to Disney World or the Orlando area, think about renting a stroller so that you not only have it in the parks, but you’ll have it if you visit other places at night like Disney Springs. You can thank me later!
Resort Package Delivery
To save money in the park and to save time in the morning, I had groceries delivered to our room via PrimeNow.
If you’re an Amazon Prime member, PrimeNow is available in the Orlando-area and you can have groceries delivered in less than two hours! I filled my cart with yogurt, granola bars, fruit, crackers and water before we left for our trip. Then when we arrived in Orlando, I checked out and sent my groceries straight to Bell Services at our Disney hotel. All cold items were packaged in a disposable cooler so there’s no need to worry about it spoiling. Two-hour delivery is FREE for Prime members if your order is $35+.
Take advantage of Walt Disney World’s Transportation system
For the first time we decided against renting a car during our stay. Walt Disney World has a wonderful transportation system and it’s very helpful to take advantage of what they have to offer.
Whether you’re using the Magical Express from the airport, or using the monorail or bus from your hotel, you have a ride anywhere no matter what.
For this particular trip, we used Magical Express from the airport, the monorail to and from our hotel, plus boat transportation. The kids loved it, plus it seemed faster in some ways. You don’t have to worry about finding a parking spot and walking a long distance when visiting the park.

We stayed at two hotels and our first hotel had water taxi transportation to Disney Springs. This is us on our first night heading to The Rainforest Cafe for dinner. The boat ride was beautiful and it was one of our favorite moments.
Staying on schedule with the My Disney Experience App
Your Disney hotel and all Disney Parks offer free WiFi, so it’s a no brainer to use the My Disney Experience App throughout your trip. I highly recommend it for getting wait times for attractions and showtimes for fireworks and parades. You can also find Character greeting locations and times or check out a restaurant’s menu.
Recently, mobile food and beverage ordering was added to the app and parents are rejoicing everywhere! It’s as easy as it sounds and we certainly took advantage of this while strolling through the park or waiting in line at an attraction. After you order you’ll let the restaurant know when you’re there and they’ll start preparing it. You’ll then retrieve your food at the Mobile Pick Up Order sign inside the restaurant. This is a great tool when you just want to sit down in the air conditioning and not have your hangry kids stand in yet another line.
Take Advantage of Rider Switch Service
When you have children of varying ages and heights like we do, there will be moments when the taller children are going to want to go on some of the thrill rides. In that case, Disney offers the Rider Switch Service so both adults have the opportunity to enjoy the attraction, too!
In Magic Kingdom, I’d say most of the rides work for the whole family. But, Big Thunder Mountain, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Space Mountain were attractions we didn’t want to miss but knew not all could enjoy.
According to Disney, “With Rider Switch, one adult can wait with the non-rider (or riders) while the rest of the party enjoys the attraction. When the other adult returns, they can supervise the non-riding Guests, and the waiting adult can board the attraction without having to wait in the regular line again!”
My kids loved this service because once the adult who was waiting had the opportunity to ride, they were allowed to bring up to two guests with them on the attraction. So, for most rides, they got to ride twice!
